Fairlane
We went to Vermont for a car show that is held every August there (well...the men went to the show and the women went shopping). There is a show during the day, in the afternoon they parade through the town, and at night there is a block party with cars and 50's & 60's music. This Fairlane was parked next to us at the hotel one evening.

Vermont
I just got back from a short vacation in Vermont. These are from a town called Stowe, it's in the northern part. The views are just incredible.

Iris
These bearded iris were in bloom the other week in the garden. I love the pattern in their petals and how flowy they look.

hello...
I've been busy working on my portfolio website. I haven't had much time for blogging but I have been thinking about it. I've decided to change this into just a photo blog and put any inspiration pictures I find over on Pinterest. Look for the changes near the end of the month. Until then I'll leave you with these pretty pear blossoms from the tree outside my window.

The Maker's Project
Have you seen The Maker's Project, Jennifer Causey's photo project to document the people who make products in her Brooklyn, NY neighborhood. She writes on the website that she knew when she started that she was taking pictures of people who make things but, she soon realized she was taking pictures of people who make things happen. I love this concept and I love seeing how things are still made by hand. The photos above are from Mast Brothers Chocolates series.
These remind me of a photo series I did last summer about two local farms. It's part of a project for the Coventry Regional Farmer's Markets. It was so much fun to see the farms and all the produce they work so hard on growing. Hopefully I will be allowed to share them with you soon.
