Brimfield Views

Today I spent the day in Brimfield, MA at the Brimfield Antique Shows. Three times a year, a half mile of Rt. 20 in Brimfield opens it's doors to over 5,000 dealers and many, many more visitors. There are a ton of good finds out there but you have to weed through a lot of bad ones too. Here are a few shots from some of my favorite booths. I wish I had their names to give you. Aren't those cast mushrooms so cute?

A trip to the past...

I hope you all had a great weekend. On Friday I visited Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA. It is living history museum set in the time period between 1790-1840. It's a wonderful museum for the whole family. They have demonstrations and period costumed interpreters that discuss various aspects of rural town life. There are stations around with games from the time period for kids to try. I have to admit I did want to try to walk on the stilts though.

I put up a few pictures that I took. I have a bunch more to add to Flickr...hopefully by tomorrow.

Hot Cakes

These are so much fun! I saw these pieces from Hot Cakes Design Jewelry the other week at Pinch Gallery in Northampton, MA. They are hand cast resin with a wide range of images in the center. These two are my favorites though.
