Photo Friday

Look what all the rain brought!

The rains stopped on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Where I live it is okay; there are no major rivers or streams near me so most people ended up with some water in their basements. About 15 minutes south of me is another story. One of the rivers overflowed and flooded a section of the town. The same happened further south in Mystic and Stonington, CT where sections of roads and bridges washed out. But we got spared the brunt of it. In Rhode Island there is major flooding issues and Providence received about 9 inches (23cm) of rain in 2 days. The Pawtuxet River rose to a record high of 21 feet (6.5 meter) and overflowed onto Interstate 95 - making for a near impossible commute from the northern section to southern Rhode Island. Things are starting to get back to normal over there but they are still assessing roads, bridges and dams for damage and people are trying to salvage what they can. But luckily no one lost there life. Good news is it is supposed to be sunny in the high 60°'s (20° Celsius) all weekend.

I'm sorry for the absence this week. I thought I was over the stomach virus but apparently I was wrong. This time I think I'm good. Just in time for the nice weekend. I got two new camera lens on Monday and I can't wait to give them a try.

Thank you all for you wonderful comments. I'm so behind on visiting but reading all your comments has made me so happy. Thanks for being so great! I hope you all have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!
