This is one of my favorite spots in Providence, RI. Pastiche is a European-style cafe located in the Federal Hill section (this section has some of the best Italian restaurants and groceries). The atmosphere is really cozy, especially in the winter when the fire place is going. It is mostly little tables but there are a few booths with antique mirrors and the back wall has a really pretty mural of the Italian country-side. But what I love is that they have the most amazing cakes and baked goods.
I've never seen anything gluten-free but since I don't have Celiac's Disease I can take a few liberties and enjoy the chocolate mousse cake (minus the crust). I love it with a little pot of Republic of Tea's Vanilla Almond black tea. They also have a Torta Di Cioccolata that is a flour-less cake, a must try for next time.
P.S. 52 Weeks is up. Check it out here for a small dose of spring.

ReplyDeleteWow, that looks amazing. I would definitely have to give in to temptation gluten or no gluten;) I use to spend my summers in Rhode Island. I miss it so.
ReplyDeleteThe environment looks so cozy and warm. I wish they had a pretty little place to eat sweets and drink tea like that in my little hometown.
