Shortly after the US entered into World War I, they began creating propaganda posters. Posters aimed at recruitment as well as efforts on the home front (Liberty and Victory bonds, Red Cross service, etc.) Magazine illustrators were often enlisted in creating these posters; such as Harrison Fisher (known for the Gibson girls illustrations) and Howard Chandler Christy (known for the Christy Girl and theatrical illustrations).

I thought today is a great day to feature these.
